Warren Farmer's Market

TNP’s Garden Resources of Warren (GROW) Program continues its commitment to work with community stakeholders to build a stronger and more sustainable local food system. GROW provides technical support, leadership development, and educational programming for Warren’s community gardens and operates the Warren Farmer’s Market. GROW provided technical support to 17 garden projects in the city of Warren and surrounding communities. Technical support includes soil testing, supplies, general advice, project planning, starter plants, tilling, other needs as identified by the community garden leader. Community garden leaders have the opportunity each spring to apply for mini-grants to purchase equipment and items for the garden. TNP also partners with local beginning farmers to provide support in starting their own farm through land acquisition, marketing and sales supplies, and training opportunities. Starting in March every year, TNP has free seed library available for community garden members and any residents. Gardeners are welcome to stop by the office between 8am and 4pm at 736 Mahoning Ave NW in Warren. Limit 6 per person. The Warren Farmers Market at North Park Commons will continue its vision as an essential resource for the community by promoting and providing locally grown food and handmade products as well as maintaining an active role in civic engagement. The Warren Farmers Market provides a safe space to shop, providing residents and senior citizens access to healthy food and a community space. Come by the Warren Farmers Market Info Tent to use your credit/debit/EBT cards and get market tokens! We also have the Produce Perks’ Double Your Dollars SNAP benefits program, where you can double your SNAP EBT dollars at our market for produce. Ask us about the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. We offer over 50 class opportunities per year, including cooking, fitness, and mindfulness classes. These community stores throughout Warren and surrounding cities in Trumbull County sell fruits and vegetables to customers and act as a healthy food source in neighborhoods. TNP provides support such as marketing, storage, and connections to produce distributors.
